Inspired by my love of vintage French poster art, I have begun to experiment with using words and phrases in some of my pieces to add or bring out meaning. Displayed here are my own imitations of the text in some of my favourite vintage French posters, as well as fragments of several paintings where I have used wording and two album covers that I designed for a friend, including text. If you are commissioning a painting and would like it to include some text, a song lyric, famous quote or Bible verse, for example, please let me know!
