I was commissioned to paint seven paintings based on Old Testament Bible stories for a primary school. I chose seven of my favourite moments in the Old Testament and agreed on some ideas with my client. I wanted to represent these well known stories in a way that helped the children to engage with them and see them in a new way.

I was asked to create this set of paintings for a blog series entitled 'The Secret Place.' The author of the blog asked me to design the pictures so that each one looked as though it was 'zoomed out' from the one before. In line with this I decided to paint them all in a similar style and with the same colour scheme. I was asked, over a period of time, to create a number of images based on weapon imagery in the Bible. I created these images using a variety of mediums including pencil, pen, acrylic paint and digital design. The images are linked together by the theme alone.
